With its superb quiet location sitting right on the water front overlooking the weirs, Riverside Retreat has its own private access through a secure gated courtyard. From the front door along a hallway its a 2 bedroom ground floor apartment with an open-plan living and kitchen /dining area. It has a luxury main bathroom and master ensuite both complete with Villeroy and Boch sanitary wear. There are 2 double bedrooms both with spacious bespoke fitted wardrobes king size beds and bespoke soft furnishings. The second bedroom can be utilised as a double or twin room and has a magnificent floor to ceiling feature window overlooking Durham’s historic Framwellgate Bridge. Wake up to beautiful views from Durham riverside and enjoy a coffee on your own private terrace.

Eating Out or In…
Durham City has a range of restaurants, cafes and bars to suite every taste and occasion and all of these are within an easy stroll of Riverside Retreat.
Prefer to eat then then the modern integrated kitchen lies to the back of the living area, and as you would expect for a five star apartment it is fully equipped for even the most experienced chef. Quality granite work tops, spacious cupboards and integrated appliances, it keeps everything tucked away. The dining table lies between the kitchen area and living area making it a great sociable space – the cook definitely won’t feel left out!
Bathing
The family bathroom features a drench head shower over the top of a full size bath tub so you can soak in style and pamper yourself using our complimentary (?) toiletries, whilst the master en suite has a walk-in shower with bags of room. Both are decorated with lovely travertine tiling and feature Villeroy & Boch sanitary wear. Both bathrooms also have huge full size wall mirrors and excellent lighting for getting ready for a special night out or special occasion, with the master bedroom also having a hidden dressing table too.
Dogs
With regret, Riverside Retreat is a pet free apartment.
Sleeping
There are two king size double bedrooms both are river facing and feature spacious bespoke fitted wardrobes, one bedroom is ensuite and the other can be made up as a double or as a twin room – it features a delightful floor to ceiling window overlooking the riverside. Widescreen smart tv with Netflix, soft carpeting and bespoke soft furnishings and curtains complete your luxury break experience.
Parking
On some occasions we are able to arrange free secure parking at the apartment. Please ask about this when booking. However if car parking isn’t available Walkergate Car Park is a mere 2-3 minutes walk from the front door of Riverside Retreat.
In accordance with our published terms and conditions the apartment is strictly non-smoking throughout and we do not accept bookings from hen or stag parties.
